I ran around like a lunatic and got all stressed out about not having enough inventory for days and when the craft fair finally rolled around…it was a dud. I’m assuming that dealing with the after-effects of Hurricane Sandy stifled any mood to go shopping for handcrafted items.
The ironic thing is that I also had an opportunity to get a table at the King Street Church craft fair — my Dad’s church. From what I understand the parking lot was PACKED. AND they had a PONY. I know better for next year, now!!!! I mean, a PONY.
The good news is despite having MINIMAL traffic, I did make enough sales to double my table fee. I’m turning that right around to secure a table at what seems to be a much larger and more promising craft fair right after Thanksgiving….the Ladies’ Day Out! I sent my application and if I’m in, details will most definitely follow.
It was nice having my niece Lorelei as my little helper — I wish she lived closer so I could put her to work more often! She ended up visiting almost all the other crafter’s tables and making a purchase at most of them. She’s too cute.
