“Hold My Beer” – Sagittarius, The Sign Most Likely To End Up In The Hospital After Saying That

H

If there were ever a sign to say “Hey, hold my beer a second” or “Watch THIS!” before doing something totally batshit crazy, it would be Sagittarius.

If you were born between November 22 and December 21, or have ever worn a GoPro camera on your head while dressed as Darth Vader riding a BMX bike off your roof onto a trampoline – you are a Sagittarius.

I saw this picture on somebody’s Facebook page earlier this week and immediately knew that this was going to be a post about Sagittarius:

Hold My Beer

Not all Sagittarius folks will risk life and limb to get a laugh out of their friends or an epic You Tube video, the saner ones would egg on the ones who would though, because even if they are too cautious to DO it, they want to SEE it – but not to watch anyone get hurt.  They honestly don’t have a mean bone in their body, they just love seeing their friends achieve their dreams.

Sagittarius are dynamic, optimistic, generous, straight-forward, philosophical, friendly, open-minded, affectionate, adventurous and big-hearted love muffins….unless you don’t let them come and go as they please.  Sagittarius deplores feeling “trapped” and pull a disappearing act if they sense any kind of restriction, even if it’s only in their imagination.

They are natural entertainers. They want to know where the action is, they want to be in the mix, they love being on the dance floor surrounded by friends and shouting out the lyrics and then will rally a big group to go on to the next place.   Some Sagittarius people are fascinated by anything foreign, exotic – the total opposite of them.  They love to travel and learn about new cultures or cuisines.  They’d rather spend money on experiences rather than “things”…they like to travel light anyway.  Often Sagittarius loves being part of sports teams and need to burn off a lot of their energy with physical activity, if they don’t they can get cranky or get into trouble 🙂

Sagittarius very much live in the “now” and the future.  Not to say they’re not sentimental, they can be, but they care more about what is going to happen NEXT rather than what has already happened.

Sagittarius people are often called blunt.  Often Sagittarius blurts things out and then are surprised if what they say is met with a negative reaction. They’re only telling you the truth! They just didn’t stop long enough to think of a more tactful way to say it.  They really do mean well, they can just be a little clumsy with other people’s feelings. They often act from the “gut” and don’t look before they leap, think before they speak, or mull anything over too long before acting.  This can get them into accidental drama, especially with their mouth.  Their impulsiveness can also work FOR them because their boldness can lead them into excellent situations that less brave folks might have passed up.  This is why a lot of Sagittarius people seem lucky.

Sagittarius does NOT have a dark side…but they DO have a shady side.  They are honest people, but lie by omission – they can tell you only what they want you to know.  They would rather avoid you than tell you an unpleasant truth or get into a big THING with you, they hate long hashed-out emotional conversations, they don’t need “closure” why should you? They go from one thing to the next really quickly and unless they use a calendar or datebook they can forget that they promised to be somewhere, they have a ton of stuff going on in their mind: this can make them appear irresponsible at times.  They ARE responsible, but HATE being reminded of their responsibilities by others and will rebel by not doing what you suggest they should do…even if they WERE going to do it.  They can be ornery that way.  They take even the gentlest constructive criticism HORRIBLY, and will not take ANY advice you give them, even if they asked for it.  Despite their sunny nature, they do have a temper (that Fire in them) and will lash out when pushed too far, they can be nasty, which shocks people who haven’t seen that side of them.

Good thing they’re such love-muffins most of the time!!!!!

November’s traditional birthstone is Citrine/Topaz and December’s is Turquoise: either of these stones enhance Sagittarius’ energy.  Other great Sagittarius stones are: Azurite, Blue Lace Agate, Tanzanite, Malachite, Sodalite and Sugalite.

Crystals to balance Sagittarius’ Mutable Fire would naturally include Grounding stones.

Sagittarius could use a little Air Energy Crystals for clear thinking, logic, and perhaps the space to respond rather than react:  Lapis Lazuli, Fluorite, Selenite, Amethyst (which is an all-round great stone for Sagittarius because it is also protective and Lord knows they can use that)

They can use a little Water energy to connect their head to their heart and help round out all that restless energy:  Rose Quartz, Aquamarine, Amazonite, and Prehnite.

Here’s a picture of a customized astrological bracelet with matching earrings I made for a Sagittarius who found me on Etsy, she had a bunch of other stuff going on in her chart, too, but most of the stones I’ve mentioned were used.
